1967


Summer 1967- Plans for the Monkees movie go into effect as Jack Nicholson tours with the guys and Rafelson on the 1967 Tour.
12/9- "Circle Sky" version 1 is recorded.
12/15- The final draft of "Changes" is printed.



1968


1/10- "Daddy's Song" with Mike on vocals is recorded.
1/25- "Long Title" is recorded.
1/128- "Can You Dig It?" with Peter on vocals is recorded.


2/11- Filming begins on HEAD, yet on the first day, only Peter shows up. Mike, Micky, and Davy have contract disputes and boycott.
2/12- Filming officially begins on HEAD
2/26- "Porpoise Song" is recorded.


3/8- "Can You Dig It?" with Micky on vocals is recorded (on his birthday:))
March- The Monkees (except Peter) attend the 1968 Grammy Awards with Sammy, Phyllis and Linda.


March-April- Shooting takes place in Palm Springs, CA and the Bahamas
4/04- "Daddy's Song" is recorded with Davy on vocals.
4/22- "The Birds, The Bees, and The Monkees" is released.


5/15- Mike's "Wichita Train Whistle Sings" is released on DOT Records.
5/21- Last day of shooting in Salt Lake City, Utah. The "Circle Sky" sequence is filmed.
5/23- Micky appears on "Top of the Pops" in the UK.
5/25- The final Monkees episode airs.
5/30- The backing track to"As We Go Along" is recorded.


7/25- "Ditty Diego" is recorded.


8/01- Micky recorded the vocals to "As We Go Along" on this day.
8/03- "Happy Birthday To You" is recorded.


10/5- "Porpoise Song"/ "As We Go Along" is released as a single in the US.


11/6- HEAD Premiere in New York City, NY. All four Monkees attend, as does Phyllis Nesmith and Samantha Juste.
11/20- HEAD is officially released to 6 major cities in the US.


12/1- The soundtrack album to HEAD is released in the US. It would eventually get to #45 on the charts.



1969


May- HEAD is released in Australia



1977


March- HEAD is released in London for the first time.



1987


HEAD is released on video for the first time.
