The photo above is of Peter and Stephen Stills in the summer of 1967 when both of their bands (Monkees & Buffalo Springfield) were on tour. YAY FOR SUMMER!

What's new in the world of the Monkees? Well Mike is performing at a virtual concert, Music Rise over Memorial Day Weekend. Details to come. I really hope he does "Mama Nantucket" and yodles like the good old days. I think I read somewhere that Micky is doing another Teen Idols concert. Peter is obviously recovering (get well soon!), and Davy hopefully will show us his manboobs again.

Well what's new here, you might be asking? A little of this, a little of that:

-I added a ton of new info to the section on Peter's Infamous Homes. This includes excerpts from David Crosby's autobiography, new photos of Shady Oak, and tales of partying and carousing from someone that lived at Shady Oak in the 70s. Thanks to Steph Waller for her stories. LOVE YOU.

-I finally added the Deana Martin Photo Gallery. She was one of the many ladies that Davy was 'dating' around 1967 and she even appeared in the Monkees episode 'Some Like it Lukewarm'. She was also the daughter of Dean Martin. I love when people name their children after themselves, it is soooo narcissistic. But alas.

-I added some new info to the Beautiful People section, thanks to the Monkees Day by Day book (<3 <3 <3). The Monkees partied with the best of them, that's for sure.

I'm only getting started. Keep checking back for new updates. If you're as bored as I am, please join us at the Psycho Jello Forums. It's been quiet over there lately and that is just lame. ENTERTAIN ME!

Take a good look at that photo of the Monkees as hottie cowboys circa 1966. You're going to need it after looking at the newest section of Psycho Jello: Scary Monkees Pictures.

Oh yes, I have managed to compile some of the most frightening pictures in the history of the Monkees career. Bad 80s hair, manboobs, old man Nez, Micky dressed as a woman, Davy in speedos. It's all there. Proceed with caution.

I also added new photos to the Monkees Photo Gallery. Almost 40 new photos and there are new pictures of Davy, Mike, and more Group Photos coming soon. Here's a hot picture of Micky from back in the day. MEOW.

Next on my list of updates is a tribute/feature to Karven Harvey aka Lady's Baby, more info on Peter's infamous homes, and some more secret stuff. I have to keep you guys coming back somehow!

Happy belated Birthday, Micky. Sorry your chick from the 'Wild Monkees' episode was so heinous. That picture is effing hilarious, though. You have to admit, those chicks in that episode were not super cute and definitely mannish....couldn't they have done better casting for that one...geez.

Anyway, I finally put up the pictures of Trina Dolenz. They're not very exciting, I'm afraid...there aren't very many rare/old photos of Trina on the internet. The best part was during my google image search, I kept coming up with pictures of Trina the rapper (aka Da Baddest Bitch). She is equally as fierce as Trina Dolenz, if you don't know already.

I also added the photo section of Micky's Girlfriends.

I've been going through some of the old site features from years and years ago, and came across this oldy-but-a-goody: Good Clean Fun: Hidden Meanings in Monkees Songs. This section is definitely not kid friendly, so if you have a problem with bad words, don't click. I find it slightly humorous, considering I wrote it when I was still in high school. Maybe it's just me. Anyway, it's good for a laugh or two.

Sad news, Monkees fans. Our own Peter Tork has been diagnosed with a form of cancer. Here is some more info:

Peter Tork needs your prayers. It has been reported that he has been diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a form of cancer. This cancer is generally uncommon and does not progress quickly. He states that his prognosis is good and is scheduled for extensive surgery on March 4, 2009 which will be followed with the usual radiation treatment.
